I would like to Nominate Dr. Michon Morita on behalf of my nephew, Christian Tremaine and my family. We can truly say we have been blessed to have had Dr. Morita still in practice till today, in doing what he does best for children in Hawaii who suffers with Neurological Conditions. He was Christian's Neurosurgeon when since birth, and is the only Doctor in Hawaii for Children with Hydrocephalus.

He is truly a hero for children as he practices at several hospitals here in Hawaii. Christian is 13 years old now and his recent shunt failure has been a tougher battle for him. His shunt that was place when he was a baby worked all these years with no problem. No infection or blockage. It was placed on the right side of his brain majority of his life but recently, Dr. Morita has placed it on the left side. We truly depend on the expertise of Dr. Morita as do many other children in Hawaii.

We know at anytime he can leave our shores or the practice of neurosurgery, and the scary thing is who would service our children with this condition.

He truly needs to be recognized.
