My name is Jessica Garner, mother to the beautiful Madyson Lynn. Our story begins when she was 4 months old, a routine peds appointment became not so routine.

Her head size jumped almost 3 inches in 2 months, and she was sent for a CT that day. From previous nursing classes I knew about Hydrocephalus and asked her Doctor if that was a possible diagnoses, and turns out the next day she called to confirm that Madyson indeed has Hydrocephalus.

Within 24 hours my baby had an MRI and had her shunt placed. Ironically, in the month of September, (Hydrocephalus Awareness Month).

She is now 1 year old and is free from malfunction and infection of any sort.
